Article Writing is Important—Now What Do I Write?!

As you may already know, article writing can be an important part of helping your business grow for a number of reasons. But a lot of people struggle with what the subject should be of their articles. Well, there are tons of ways you can get ideas on what to write about. One way is through key word search. You can do this by putting in keywords to a top industry of interest. There are plenty of places to do keyword searches online. You can use search engines like Google for example. Now, that does not mean you should get bogged down with making sure you have a lot of key words in your article because then you are neglecting content and without content people will not get anything out of your article and therefore it’s really not worth reading.

Another way to get ideas for an article is to write about problems that you’ve recently found solutions to. For example, if you have come to figure out a better way of marketing that draws people to your business or you have found a way to make your blog more efficient then that is something that you can share with others in an article because it might benefit other people in the industry and show your experience as a leader.

The next way is to go on network marketing forums and write about the hot topics. On almost every forum there are a number of people who have issues they would like to address and just as many people who respond to those questions. The best thing that you can do is go on the forums and participate in those discussions. You will be surprised at the ideas that can come to mind. Forums after all are nothing more than a glimpse into the world of network marketing. So you can find hot topics and f.a.q.s in the forums as well as topics that other people in the industry can relate to. As a result your articles will be relevant.

The next way is a little sneaky and that is going to the articles directories and view articles and write on the same topics. There is no reason why if someone wrote an article on a topic you are interested in that you can’t take that topic and put a new spin on it and make it your own. Do not copy verbatim at all. I would suggest reading the entire article, maybe taking some notes and then writing a whole new article and adding your own points of view.

The last way involves asking questions of your downline. Write down questions that you get from your downline and just make those questions into articles. Plus a great thing about making articles out of those questions is that you can send it to your whole downline because it could be a question others have had and therefore you are providing them with some added education on how to effectively build their business. In addition they can pass on the article to other network marketers in their downline or in general as long as they keep it intact. This can also give you a lot of credibility as a leader.

Network Marketing – Trashing the Competition

I’ve seen this and read about it recently in another article about putting down other network marketing opportunities. Whether it’s between other network marketers claiming that the other business is no good and theirs is the best or between a network marketer and a prospect who is considering several businesses and hasn’t made a decision yet. Either way, its not cool and never a good idea. This especially when your purpose is to make yours look better, this is tactic that is considered amateur since your business should be able to stand on its own and attract the people that can relate to you and what your business stands for.
I saw this story done on another blog and it’s a story about a prospect who was considering two other opportunities as well as his. The prospect was up front about the fact that he was evaluating multiple opportunities.
As a professional, this leader’s approach was not to knock the other companies. Instead, he said something like this:
Prospect: I’m looking at Company A and B in addition to yours.
Network Marketing Leader: smiling, he said “wow, that’s good competition, going to make your decision pretty tough”.
From there, he went on to show the benefits of HIS network marketing opportunity over the other two, without one time putting the other companies down.
My point – when presenting your business to prospects, stay on the positive side of things. If you focus on the qualities of your business and how it can benefit the prospect’s financial goals, then this will pay off a lot better for you. If they mention some other company or business they’re looking at, be careful not to trash it. Remember, your prospect is interested in the other business, and by trashing it you’re saying in effect that they are uniformed plus you give off the impression that something might be wrong or not as confident about your business if you have to be on the attack of another opportunity.
Another point in terms of saying something disparaging about a business opportunity to the network marketer themselves, if a network marketer is approaching you about their business opportunity, keep an open mind and don’t be so quick to dismiss it. Keep in mind that there are several opportunities out there that can be helpful to your current business right now and can only enhance what you are doing or vice versa. Perhaps your business could be beneficial to the other networker as well and you can formulize a partnership which is win win but you will never get to that point if you start off in attack mode and a confront them about how horrible their business opportunity is to you. Also, consider what wealthy people do, like Robert Kiyosaki and think about increasing your income by having multiple streams of income. Once you have gained momentum in your business and have a steady stream of income coming in, you may want to consider adding another income stream anyway because let’s face it, not all businesses last forever. The company, the compensation plan, the creators vision can change so it’s best to always keep you options open so you can make the transition from one business to the next if things stop going your way.
So either way, it definitely pays off to be a professional and avoid trash talking. You won’t be sorry.

Are You Paying the Price?

I was reading a post on Randy Gage’s blog, a network marketing mentor and trainer for 20 years, and he asks the question “Are you paying the price?” and it got me thinking about the days when I was involved in Quixtar and how as an IBO we were asked that question often. As a result, in order to prove that we were willing to do what it takes we attended weekly meetings several times a week, attended what was called night owls which usually lasted until 2 a.m., spending time getting babysitters and $100-$200 a month on monthly product autoships plus motivational tools and traveling to different cities to attend the latest conference. Now, we didn’t have to do those things but it was considered important especially if you wanted to be considered committed to the business and were going to be actively and successfully building your business. For the most part, my husband and I had no problem doing it because we believed that that was what it took to be successful and still believe it today to some extent. However, with the power of the internet, networking marketing has really changed and for the most part for the better. However, I think that because we have access to so many opportunities and are approached with offers on a daily basis of what is considered the latest and greatest opportunity, it’s easy to go on to the next best thing instead of committing to what you already started. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have multiple streams of income. In fact, I believe that that is something you have to do in order to reach your goals financially but one business should be built in order to leverage the income from that business so you can invest in the next opportunity. That way you are creating a more stable foundation for yourself.

So what does it mean to pay the price? It means attending training, reading motivational and inspirational material, goal setting, and marketing your business all on a consistent basis. Now, even though paying the price means with success comes some struggle, there are definitely benefits to having an online business today because doing the things described above are now a lot easier. For example, you can attend live conferences online, you can find training and goal setting material online plus a majority of businesses provide that for their affiliates. Marketing has become simpler as well since there are several marketing systems you can choose from and sometimes implemented in your business. There are ways to network with other business minded individuals online as well. As a result you can have people in your organization from all over the world if you choose and have an international business.

There is a lot of opportunity to successfully generate income online and the best way to figure out the best plan for you is to first find a business that fits you and your financial goals, consistently work at building it and remain focused on it and then once you have built up a steady stream of income, look to leverage some of that income into an investment in an asset or another business opportunity thereby creating an additional income stream for yourself. Email Writing Secrets

Email has become one of the most popular ways of communicating, however, when people’s inboxes started to overflow with unwanted emails, that is when the word SPAM can about and in 20003; the government came out with the CAN-SPAM act. The CAN-SPAM Act defines SPAM as unsolicited bulk emails and as a result it made it illegal for businesses to send bulk marketing emails to people who had not agreed to receive them. This brought about the opt-in list and the opt-in list is now the backbone of email marketing today and opt-in list building techniques are possible the most discussed subject among affiliate marketers.

So how vital is it to write powerful emails? Well, it is the most used and most effective method that is available to you as an affiliate marketer for contacting your opt-in list members and selling your products and services to them. You can contact your list several other ways, such as, through webinar or teleseminar and be able to speak directly with them occasionally but that doesn’t happen very often. You can even publish a newsletter that you can send to your list, but that isn’t for the purpose of convincing the members of your list to buy a product or service. It is because of this that email is the best way to contact the members of your list on a regular basis and do so for the purpose of selling them a product or service for which you are an affiliate marketer. By writing powerful sales emails you can achieve various things:

1.) You will make many sales to your list
2.) You will increase the bottom line of your bank account
3.) You will increase your credibility in the eyes of your list members
4.) You will increase your value as a joint venture partner in the eyes of other affiliate marketers and other internet marketers.

So now what are some steps you can take to help you write effective and profitable emails? The first step is to determine what your purpose is of your email. Your main purpose is to convince those who receive your email to act on it. You want the recipients to buy or act on what you are promoting. The second thing is to know your audience. Keep in mind that you are addressing your email to real people with various backgrounds and difference. What might attract one person to your email may go right over the head of another person. The important thing then is to appeal to the similarity of all of them and direct your message to those commonalities. I’m sure you’ve heard of the question, “What’s in it for me?” and that is exactly the question that the readers of your marketing email want answered and they expect the answer quickly. The best way, therefore to keep your marketing email focused on the ways that the product or service that you are offering is focused on the needs of the recipients of the email is this; there is no “I” in sales. Reread the marketing email that you have written. Every time you have said “I” change it to “You” and rearrange the sentence so that it makes sense.
The third thing is having the right tools. An example is having an autoresponder. Having an autoresponder requires that your marketing messages be in a specific format. An example of an autoresponder you can use is Aweber. The last tip you can use when creating a successful email, is create a promo email. The great thing about promotional emails is that they are limited only by your imagination. There are many different kinds of promotional emails that you can think up and here are just a few:

1.) Promote your own product. If you have a newsletter or a digital product that is your own, you can send an email to your list promoting your own product. The Benefits of Direct Sales

I have been involved in various programs within a 10 year span and have made some money from these different business opportunities, however, nothing has compared to what I have earned with my direct sales opportunity. In an article I read about direct sales, there has been a growing increase in people using direct sales to generate income because of how the economy has been and because of the fact that many people have lost their jobs. Direct Sales has provided them with an instant income. I understand where they are coming from because about a year ago, I was doing well with my network marketing business. I was earning about $500-$1,000 a month. I was able to move my family out of a three bedroom apartment into a 5 bedroom house based on the extra income that was coming in. Unfortunately, the network marketing company that I was involved in changed its compensation plan and as a result, my income started to decrease. I had to find something that could fill the void. And that is what I found in more with my direct sales company. Now, I have earned over $1,500 in three months! Something that took me a year to make with my other network marketing company. You may be asking “how is that possible?” Well here are some of the reasons why myself and more and more people are becoming apart of a $30 billion dollar industry.

1.) You get paid daily.
With most mlm companies you get paid either monthly or weekly based on what you did the previous month or week. With direct sales, you get paid instantly because it is based on the product or service you are selling at that time. So the payments you receive are instantaneous. I can’t tell what a life saver this has been for me when an unexpected expense has come up, I don’t have to worry about not having enough to cover it because I have payments coming in on a daily basis.

2.) No Autoships
Paying a monthly fee for your product is a requirement most of the time when you’re involved in an mlm. And unfortunately that fee can be $100-$200 a month. This can be difficult to manage in this day and age. With direct sales having a monthly autoship expense is not a requirement for you to make money. Because you are considered a reseller of the products the company provides, you have an inventory of products that you have the rights to sell. With my business, I pay a one-time fee for the resell rights of the product and so from that moment on, I own the rights to sell the products over and over again. Also, I only pay $10 a month and this provides me with several tools I use to build my business. These include lead capture pages, business cards, flyers, banners, etc.

3.) You keep all of the profits

Because you have a percentage that has to go to the company and a percentage that goes to you sponsor and a percentage that has to go to the cost of producing and shipping your product, you only get to keep a percentage of the profits in your mlm. With direct sales, you keep 100% of the profits. With my business, for example because our products are all downloadable, I don’t have to incur any shipping costs.

4.) Leverage your income

I still enjoy mlm in the sense the mlm’s that I have had the privilege of being involved in provide great products that I enjoy using on a regular basis. What’s great about direct sales is that it can provide you with an additional income stream or help fund your primary business. You can then feel free to enjoy more of the product and I find that I use my direct sales opportunity to not only supplement the household income but to leverage some of the income to fund whatever marketing tools I need for my health and wellness business.

5.) Get paid to infinity

With a direct sales business, there is no limit to the amount of income you can make because your income is not contingent on the fact of how big you downline is. You put in 100% of the work, you get 100% of the profits. Now, you may be asking “what about teamwork?” Just because you work for yourself, does not mean you work by yourself in my business. In fact we help our members to be successful with their businesses by providing them with a system where it is to only to your benefit to pay it forward. This system is the only one of its kind in the direct sales industry and like I said, one of the main ways to generate income is when you pay it forward.
